No, 4-4(lab-II)/75 – In exercise of the powers under sub-section (3) of Section I of Punjab Weights & Measures (International System) Enforcement Act, 1975. The Government of the Punjab is pleased to dize that the Provisions of the Punjab Weights & Measures (International System) Enforcement Act, 1975, shall apply to the under-takings mentioned in the Schedule annexed to this Notification, with immediate effect.

NOTIFICATION

No ……….  In exercise of the powers conferred him under section 30 of the Punjab Weights and Measures (International System) Enforcement Act, 1975 (Pb, Act LII of 1975), the Governor of the Punjab is pleased to direct that in the Punjab Weights and Measures (International System) Enforcement Rules 1976, the following further amendment shall be made with immediate effect:-

1.         In rule 11, after sub-rule (3), the following new sub-rule (3A) shall be added, namely-
           
            (3A)     Notwithstanding anything to the contrast contained in sub-rule (3), in the case of the CNG in mass and not in any other measuring system and

  1. the occubier/owner shall install and use such units so as to deliver and sell CNG in mass and not in any other measuring system: and
  2. the Inspector shall stamp every such unit with a uniform stamp supplied by the Controller for this purpose indicating the area or the district in which it has been stamped or the Inspector by whom it has been stamped or both.

2.         In Schedule IX, in clause 3.19 the full stop at the end shall be substituted by a colon and thereafter, the following proviso shall be added namely-

“Provided that in case of CNG dispensing units, the maximum pressure at the time of delivery or sale shall be maintained 200 bars with permissible error of 10 bars (in excess or deficiency). The maximum permissible error of measuring CNG at the time of verification, re-verification, sale and inspection shall not exceed 2.5% (in excess or deficiency) of the total quantity of Gas delivered or sold at any operation as uniform as practicable.”
